My artwork shows a strong obsession with pattern, repetition, tediousness, line, identity and place. Inspiration is deeply rooted admiration for anatomical renderings, vascular and acupuncture diagrams as well as an intent to address human universals. I seek self and communal advancement through creative means. I feel that art is an opportunity for everyone, trained or untrained in the fine arts. I'm still developing as an artist through installation work, costumes for theatre, photography, and branching into poetry and song. My primary focus is what I have termed "fabric sculpture." Please refer to "My Art" tab for images

My aesthetics stem from my experiences studying Fine Art at the University of Kansas and Ceramic Printmaking at Staffordshire University in England. In New York I have worked for Chuck Close, Leroy Neiman, the estate of Jean Michel Basquiat, and Alex Katz at a place called Brand X Editions as a printmaker.

Besides my experience in the fine arts world, I have nearly a decade of experience working in the non-profit realm. I was creative director in musical theatre focused fund raising for the United Way of Douglas County in Kansas for four years. I served Housing Works Thrift Shops of New York for four and half years as visual director, raising millions of dollars through window display auctions at ten different store locations. Community building continues to be a priority for the projects and content of my artwork today.
